CityLife Magazine strikes gold at media awards

Quality journalism in APN Australian Publishing's CityLife Magazine earned the North Queensland title two major accolades at the 2008 Queensland Multi Media Awards – Best Non-Daily Publication, and Best Advertising Feature.

The Queensland Multi Media Awards recognise excellence in journalism and advertising across all major print and electronic media. The 320 entries submitted by media organisations, advertising agencies and some of the state's leading freelance contributors were judged by a panel of experts from Australia's capital cities.

"These awards are testament to the excellent journalism, creative advertising, and high-calibre photography that CityLife offers to 75,000 affluent consumers in Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay every month," APN Australian Publishing National Sales General Manager Rod Harris said.

"North Queensland's media market is highly competitive and this year's awards further confirm that we're continuing to deliver a high-quality, relevant magazine - this can only help us to continue to engage our discerning readers," he said.

"I would like to thank our loyal readers and advertisers for continuing to support us, and for making us North Queensland's number one corporate lifestyle magazine."

CityLife is a major component of APN Australian Publishing's portfolio of quality magazine, and market-leading newspaper assets – all of which provide superior reach into the thriving boomtowns of Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
