Detours goes weekly!

Detours, APN Australian Publishing’s full-colour, monthly travel environment, will also be published weekly from Saturday April 18, 2009. Appearing in APN Australian Publishing’s 14 popular daily newspapers, Detours will provide advertisers with an engaging weekly travel environment – every Saturday – as well as a bumper Wednesday edition once a month.

Detours features a range of unique and exciting destinations, industry-insider news, celebrity profiles, and the hottest deals available. With coverage across lucrative regional markets from Mackay to Coffs Harbour, Detours reaches over 260,000 active travellers across all major travel markets – families, singles, and empty-nesters.

Detours is set to inspire APN Australian Publishing readers in April – here are just a few topics that will be featured:

  • Smart travel – the second instalment of our two-part series on great travel ideas under $50
  • California – Detours takes readers star-watching, finding some gourmet delights along the way
  • Shanghai fever – gearing up for Expo 2010, we look at this amazing city
  • Great deals on the most exclusive of retreats, and more

Extending this unique environment online, APN's Regional News Network will host an exclusive Detours travel section, available on each daily newspaper website**. This new section covers the best of travel news available online and provides a free local, national and global holiday search application, powered by Roamfree.com. The interactive online travel section will enable APN readers to check holiday pricing, comment on articles and participate in polls, while providing an opportunity for advertisers to potentially reach over 400,000 unique website visitors per month*.
