APN ARM Sponsor the 2011 MFA Awards

APN Australian Regional Media (APN ARM) was a distinguished sponsor of the recent 13th annual Media Federation of Australia (MFA) awards held on 20th October at CarriageWorks in Sydney. Attended by nearly 800 guests, this prestigious event is one of the biggest on the industry calendar, and celebrates achievements in media strategy nationwide.

Paul Kent, Commercial Director of National Sales, represented APN ARM on a panel of 10 judges tasked with selecting a winning campaign in the Food & Grocery category. This was a highly contested award, with over 20 short-listed entries ranging from ice cream to pet food. The ultimate winner was Starcom for its Whiskas campaign, which the judges believed showed great insight into the challenges faced by the client in making people ‘proud to own a cat’ through their ‘public pledge’ online.

Paul Kent commented: “These awards play an integral role in raising the bar and recognising excellence in the media industry – something APN ARM is committed to, and will continue to support in the future.”
