APN ARM News Network digital update

APN Australian Regional Media (APN ARM) relaunched its network of more than 30 news websites in October 2012 and, 6 months on, they have shown outstanding results with year on year growth of up to 31%. With a distinct emphasis on local, relevant news and information as well as a design that encourages the local community to contribute, the new websites are very much like virtual town centres.

This new design has encouraged greater engagement with the local masthead brands, as proven through the dramatic improvement in unique browsers, page impressions, user sessions and time on site. On average, our network delivers over 1.3 million unique browsers and over 13 million page impressions each month.

These new masthead websites are reaching a new, extended audience who are hungry for the best in local news as well as local life, events and businesses. The online platform reaches a younger demographic than traditional print newspapers, providing advertisers access to a wider audience through our local, trusted brands.
